When the raids started, Her father fought off the kings men as his wife fled with Saraphina.
They didn't make it far, and Saraphina ran as her mother held off the attack so her child could escape.
She made it to safety and was adopted by a group of Resistance fighters that would one day be the leading force against the king in all the land.
Saraphina was raised with this band of misfits and took to blacksmithing like her father and became a master swordswoman at a very young age.
